Blue Chip Ventures

Blue Chip Opportunity Fund, LP ("Blue Chip"), was formed in 1993 as one of the two original funds of Blue Chip Venture Company, which now manages over $400 million in assets. Blue Chip Opportunity Fund was a targeted, special purpose venture capital fund formed to invest in a portfolio of privately-held companies owned by minorities and women, ranging from seed and start-up companies through more mature companies. Prior to Blue Chip, the targeted region for the fund-a 200-mile radius of Cincinnati, Ohio-was the largest market in the United States without a professionally-managed venture capital fund. Blue Chip has invested in twelve companies, ranging from manufacturing, consumer/retail, communication, information technology and healthcare.
