Lone Star was reorganized in May 1998 to invest in
private equity, venture capital and private investments
in public entities (PIPES) and to build a diversified
portfolio making direct venture capital investments focused
on early through late-stage private companies. The Fund's
focus is telecommunications, healthcare and information
technology. As of the date of this document, Lone Star
has made twenty-eight (28) portfolio investments.
